  The city of Ohtawara is located 150km away from Tokyo in the Tochigi prefecture. A 70 minute bullet train ride allows you to leave Tokyo in the morning, run the race and return on the same day.

  Runners must have a sub 4-hour marathon record to qualify for this race, attracting well experienced runners from everywhere. 5000 runners passionately run from start to finish at this exciting race. In 2015, the last runner finished at a surprising 4:09.
