    Kenyan Erikus Titus brakes the Zurich Maraton de Sevilla record, the flattest marathon course in Europe, in 2:07:43 in a thrilling race through the city centre of Seville. Titus, in his second marathon, has performed an awesome race controlling the leading pack and pulling away at the km 37 to get the victory at the Finish Line of the track of the La Cartuja Stadium, the same that hosted the Athletics World Championship in 1999. Tariku Kebede Kinfu (ETH) was the first runner up in 2h07:48, just 5 seconds behind Titus, with an impressive pace at the last kilometres, and Kimpemboi Kipsang (KEN, 2h12:29), finally got the third position.
    In the female category, Spanish Paula Gonzalez Berodia did it again and got her second victory in Sevilla, setting a new personal best in 2h28:54, overtaken all the African athletes (Kenian Ngigi was second, 2h30:49, and Ethiopian Diba Bedada, third in 2h31:47). British Lily Partridge has debuted today and finished fourth (2h32:10). Paula Gonzalez got the best Spanish result in marathon of the last 15 years. Zurich Maraton de Sevilla –awarded IAAF Silver Label, is the flattest marathon course in Europe. The event is opening its door to the international runners community and has a new and absolutely flat race course in one of the most scenic venue possible, in the city centre of Seville, crossing all the main monuments and historical streets.
