    The city of Kawasaki is located in Kanagawa prefecture, located between Tokyo and Yokohama. It is an hour bus ride from Haneda Airport and an hour and a half bus ride from Narita International Airport. After launching in 2013, the half marathon race now has 5,000 runners with a cut-off time of 2 hours and 48 minutes and the 10k race with 2,000 runners with a cut-off time of 1 hour and 20 minutes.

     

    The course starts at Todoroki Athletics Stadium, home stadium of Japanese soccer league Kawasaki Frontale, where many international athletic events are held. The course runs through a flat soft surfaced course along the Tama River and back to the stadium. There are plenty of aid stations with experienced staff on the course. Todoroki Athletics Stadium is well equipped with toilets, changing space and baggage service. They can offer indoor warm up spaces before the race even if should rain. There are various shops and attractions to enjoy such as Aerobics in the stadium. You may visit Yokohama in half an hour or downtown Tokyo in one hour. Nonetheless, you will have many options to explore.
