  The Seoul International Marathon (also known as the 88th Dong-A Marathon) was held on Sunday, March 19th attracting 35,000 participants. 20,000 full course/relay runners and 15,000 10-km runners filled the streets of Seoul, making this the largest running event in the history of Korea. 25 year-old Amos Kipruto of Kenya took the victory, clocking in at 2:05:54. The current course record of 2:05:13 is held by Wilson Loyanae Erupe of Kenya. Kipruto's winning time was more than two minutes faster than his previous best of 2:08:12 set in Rome last year. Top female winner of the race was Kenya's Margaret Agai of Kenya with 2:25:52.
