• Osaka Half Marathon first took place in 2006 and in almost two decades has grown to become one of the most famous half marathons in Japan. More than 6,000 runners participate every year. It is characterized by its strict time limits (2 hours and 5minutes) and unique course setting which allows runners to cross paths with runners of elite only women's race, Osaka Women’s Marathon. The race starts at the east side of Osaka Castle, one of Japan’s most famous landmarks with a history that dates back almost 450 years. Runners finish at Yanmar Stadium Nagai, where numerous international races are hosted such as 2007 World Athletics Championships. The route takes in some of the best views in Osaka over a flat course that’s perfect for runners chasing a personal best. Osaka Half Marathon is a great way to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Osaka while also aiming for your personal best!
