Feel the love at this race! This event takes place in one of the most popular sightseeing spots of Fukui Prefecture, Tojinbo. Tojinbo is one kilometer stretch of basaltic cliffs along the Sea of Japan. The word "Maranic" is a mixture of marathon and picnic. When runners start, they shout "I love you" and when they finish, they receive a heart-shaped medal and as they ring the bell, they cry "I love you all!" towards the vast sea. Local food and drinks will be served at 20 points on the course. Run, walk, eat, converse, and feel the love!
